When you want to trade on a day, simply follow the following procedure.
Step 1: Connect to the VPS server using RDP. If you're confused on the difference between RDP and the VPS please review this information: https://quantvue.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/156000015765-what-is-a-vps-server-and-what-is-rdp-
Step 2: Start (or restart if it was already running) Tradovate, log into the account you wish to trade, and ensure the screen is set up properly to receive data from ATS. This is done for you during onboarding, but can be double checked with the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4veruXw1Jaw
Step 3: Start (or restart if it was already running) the QuantVue automated trading suite software. Click Start in the main control panel, and allow it to finish it's self-diagnostic. During the process it will bring your Tradovate window to the front, this is normal. If everything is fine it will display no error messages. If it displays an error message, check the reason why here: https://quantvue.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/folders/156000201263
Step 4: Exit RDP with the green disconnect shortcut on the desktop. It is vitally important you exit RDP using this shortcut. Do not leave RDP open while trading, as this will cause the functionality to break. If you wish to view your trades log in to the Tradovate account through your cell phone or TradingView's Trading Panel on your home computer.
