Troubleshooting video (watch this first): https://youtu.be/0Aw8ZqOoevU?si=Zhd2rn6jzkrTLfAM

Next, either follow the steps below or refer to the attached flowchart for troubleshooting.

Step 1: Very first thing you should do is RESTART YOUR VPS SERVER! Restart it the same way you do with a regular windows computer - open RDP, go to the task bar, and restart it.

Simply exiting and reopening RDP is NOT THE SAME AS RESTARTING THE VPS SERVER!

You must actually restart the server from inside of RDP. RDP is only your way of accessing the VPS server and is not the server itself. If you don't understand that then make sure to read this article: https://quantvue.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/156000015765-what-is-a-vps-server-and-what-is-rdp-

Successful completion of step 1: Server restarted and is back online.

Step 2: Upon restarting the server, turn on the ATS. If it has any errors then immediately address those. Find the error code in the error code troubleshooting: https://quantvue.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/folders/156000201263

Successful completion of step 2: ATS starts without errors.

Step 3:  Review the compatibility video and ensure all alerts on QuantVue strategies are set using the compatibility instructions ONLY. Make sure to copy and paste your User ID and Spam Key with the keyboard commands Control + C and Control + V so you don't have to retype them. Retyping leads to errors. Make sure there are NO whitespaces leading or trailing your user id and spam key. Video: https://youtu.be/eMqafKeD3Xk?si=Bk4MGVa7xFWL8PUP

Successful completion of step 3: All alerts are set exactly as shown in the video.

Step 4:  Check the TradingView alerts log in TradingView. If the alert is not there, then the alert is set improperly. Try again, or contact TradingView support. Learn more about the alerts panel in TradingView here: https://www.tradingview.com/support/solutions/43000595311-manage-alerts/

Successful completion of step 4: Review the TradingView alerts log and report whether the alerts you are concerned about are there or not.

Step 5:  If the alert is there, then check your webhook URL. If the URL is wrong and does not match the webhook URL in your ATS software on the main page then that is the problem. Make sure to copy and paste with keyboard commands Control + C and Control + V.

Successful completion of step 5: All alerts show the proper webhook URL from your ATS screen.

Step 6:  If the URL is right, then check step 3 above and ensure the message that is in the message box inside your alert matches {{strategy.order.alert_message}}

Successful completion of step 6: All alerts are using compatibility from step 2 and the message box is correct.

Step 7:  If the message is right, go to your VPS server. Check in the window of the ATS to see if the alert was received. If it was not received, then one of the previous steps is wrong, OR you may have more than one ATS window open. Recheck previous steps and close ALL ATS windows and restart it. The ATS windows are the black cmd boxes as well as the GUI with the clickable buttons. Check the taskbar to see if you have more than one open.

Successful completion of step 7: All ATS windows were closed, reopened, and test trades from inside the ATS work.

Step 8:  If the message was received but still isn't trading, then check Tradovate and ensure hotkeys are on with the small "keyboard" icon in the left of the chart window next to the symbol name. See the timestamp here: https://youtu.be/VHCoBtrR-5Q?si=YiadnmhKBwNa1ncC&t=460

Successful completion of step 8: Keyboard icon is on.

Step 9:  Ensure your hotkeys are set up according to the video timestamp here: https://youtu.be/VHCoBtrR-5Q?si=o_dGgkcws7Y6rhuE&t=589 Note that a frequent problem is that people will click the slider on, but forget to actually set the hotkey combination in the box.

Successful completion of step 9: Hotkeys are turned on and set.

Step 10:  Ensure you're disconnecting from RDP immediately, and properly. If you are not then it will have a failure to trade or intermittent trading. RDP must be closed while the server is trading. Do not leave it open to "watch" the trades. Follow these steps: https://youtu.be/VHCoBtrR-5Q?si=GpLOdnlyGNNJAwJO&t=713

Successful completion of step 10: You are always disconnecting from RDP with the green shortcut, and you are not leaving RDP open while the server is trading.

Step 11:  If you still require support submit a troubleshooting ticket.
